eVisitor
eVisitor is an on-line system for the check-in and check-out of guests in the Republic of Croatia, which enables easy and efficient record keeping of tourist traffic. Its innovativeness has also been recognised at the international level. The eVisitor system won 3rd place in the prestigious competition of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) for the best digital projects in tourism. It is free, safe and accessible to all rental owners and tourism companies, providing useful analytical data for better business operations.
Basic functionalities of eVisitor:
- Guest check-in and check-out – rental owners can check-in and check-out their guests independently at any time, while the system automatically keeps records;
- Registry of accommodation in Croatia – eVisitor contains all the key data on service providers (name, OIB and address) and their accommodation facilities (type, category, location and capacity), and this data is entered into the system directly from the official decisions of the competent state administration offices and the Ministry of Tourism and Sport;
- Calculation and control of the tourist fee – based on the check-in and check-out of guests, data on the facilities and the duration of the season, the system automatically calculates the amount of the tourist fee for each rental owner;
Statistics and reporting – eVisitor allows data to be processed and analysed and various reports to be produced for statistical purposes. The Croatian National Tourist Board regularly publishes information on the course of the tourist season based on the data from the system.
